You should probably have a tag so one can automatically say, "Got here from Dean's blog." Yeah, me, too.
A little over five years ago, I was just starting to have some success, when a severe health problem took it away, and I had to retire for a while. (It’s like I was standing on the edge of a cliff with my hang glider, ready to fly, when suddenly an anvil dropped on my head.) Coming back into the business, everything has changed. I feel like I’m in the middle of Times Square yelling, “Somebody please tell me what to do!” (That’s a great exercise, but the reply usually contains the F word, which is quite unhelpful.)
Before that, I did just about everything wrong, but it still paid the rent. Problem was, I felt like Big King Swinginwood, and let that get in the way as well.
I'm too old not to do it right this time.

Hello everyone!
I'm J.A. Marlow and I write all sorts of science fiction. I've been following the Indie movement since early 2009 with great interest, preparing my own offerings for the day I could join in. I had to wait because of personal circumstances, but this last February I jumped in with both feet and haven't looked back.
As of July I have 11 offerings with many more on the way. I now have people pestering me for various sequels and it feels great.
Nice to meet everyone!

I want to welcome all of the people who have hopped on board here.
FYI, I, personally, am not checking the board every day. Like most of you, I suspect, I try to devote more time to actual writing. But it is good to see so many of you stopping in from time to time and offering help and advice to others.
Write on!
