I did a cover for a good friend of mine. I don't have his blurb yet but it is a horror story that starts off with some very odd graffiti popping up around the city. Made with Adobe Photoshop. The font is called Delicious Heavy and is an exceptional free font that can be found at www.exljbris.com/delicious.html

Nice cover. Wish I could afford the software!

You could try GIMP - an open source free alternative to Photoshop. I haven't used it myself but I have seen people do some incredible images with it. www.gimp.org/

Thanks. I've downloaded it to my computer but haven't really looked at it yet. As I'm about to re-publish my Lost Wages in Las Vegas, I'm gonna have to study it to see what I can come up with.

So, perhaps I'll be able to figure it outl

I agree that it’s an excellent cover. Good artwork and the letters are very clear.
Anaïd Haen (my co-writer and girlfriend) just downloaded GIMP and is experimenting with it. Her first impression: she loves it and doesn’t find it too difficult to work with. (But she did have some experience with Photoshop Elements 3.0).
