I decided to grow a set and post my cover for the paranormal romance I intend to release on Kindle on the 19th. This is the 6th cover I've done for it- I didn't care for the others. I'm still working on the blurb. (Did I mention this is the first book I'm publishing?) Kendra and Jason both work for the Union of Supernatural Hunters. In fact, they're on the same team. He thinks she's a party girl who needs to grow up. She thinks he's a stuck up, straight-laced snob that needs to learn to relax.
When the Union itself is infiltrated, it's up to them and the other members of their team to figure out who's the villain, save the day, and just maybe they'll learn to appreciate each other along the way.Attachments:

I can't really read the text. And the wolf on the cover—when "Demons" are mentioned in the title—is kinda confusing.

I'll blame my less than stellar blurb for the confusion. I need to work in somewhere that she's a half demon and he's a werewolf. Is it the font or the color that makes the text difficult to read? I can play with those some more to see if they come across clearer, while still going with a cut out look.

We like the wolf, the black silhouette on the orange background. Maybe tt seems sort of serious for what seems like a light and fun book. only criticism is the title font. might be better in a different color.

And maybe make the font a bit larger, too?

Agree on the font comments. Remember that people will be looking at ITTY BITTY thumbnails. Readability is key. Also, yes, I think that if there's a wolf on the cover, you really need to mention the werewolf in the blurb. Love the orange!

I like the cover. Only problem is that while the text is fine when the image is full sized. It's not easy to make out on the thumbnail sized imaged. Maybe just increasing the font size would help, but you might need to think about changing the colour as well to help it stand out better.

IMO, the problem with the font is mainly the particular font used. It's better to go with something really simple and bold. I lean toward serif fonts. Felix Titling is one of my favorites, and I also like Book Antiqua, but any of the standard ones would probably work okay -- TNR, Garamond, etc. Those script-like fonts don't work well in the thumbnail size because they're so busy they're hard to read. Also, bigger is better, again in my opinion. I don't think the color is the issue -- if you used a simple font, sized it up and bolded it, the text would be readable. I like the overall simplicity of the design, although it is a little confusing with a wolf vs. demon in the title. But maybe the reader will think it's a wolf-demon?

It feels a bit unbalanced to me because of the extra black space at the bottom around the author name. You could steal some of that space, move it to the top and make your title a bit bigger.
I would second the readability issues on the font you chose. It doesn't have enough weight to stand up when shrunk to the small thumbnail size.
I do like the flames and the wolf silhouette. It did make me go hmm because the title mentions demons but not in any kind of dealbreaking way.

Good image, although slightly confusing when paired with the title, and the colours are good in the image.
The black of the rock that the wolf is standing on blends too well with the black band at the bottom. Try putting in a narrow copper line to seperate the two.
And the font really needs work. It simply isn't readable at thumbnail size. A larger font would help, but I think a simpler font in a lighter colour would help more.

Thank you for all the comments. Much appreciated, and very helpful. I've rewritten my blurb and fixed the text on my cover. Kendra Brooke is a half demon that enjoys her life and doesn't see anything wrong with having a good time on and off the job. Jason MacKenzie is a werewolf who relies on rigid control and following the rules to maintain his lifestyle. They both work for the Union of Supernatural Hunters. In fact, they're on the same team.
He thinks she's a party girl who needs to grow up. She thinks he's a stuck up, straight-laced snob that needs to learn to relax. But when the Union itself is infiltrated, it's up to them and the other members of their team to figure out who's the villain, save the day, and just maybe they'll learn to appreciate each other along the way.Attachments:

Makes more sense, now, and It's easier to read, though I still can't read your surname all that well. (That may be me; I have trouble as soon as something leaves standard typeface, black-text-on-white-background setup.)
As a thought, have you checked how it looks without the italics?

The image is good - in fact, I like it a lot.
I don't like the text at all. You have to think what's the point of the text - to give people information, and because of that, it needs to be as legible as possible. You need to change the text colour from the background colour to white, IMO. And I do prefer non-italicised fonts too.
