I uploaded my book Demons Just Wanna Have Fun to both Smashwords and Amazon. It only took five minutes for it to become available on the Smashwords website. ;D
This is my first book, so I had to share my excitement!

Awesome! The only thing more thrilling than getting the first book up is the first sale.

While you're on Smashwords, look at the premium listing, which also doesn't cost anything, and which gets you into other online stores like Barnes and Noble and iBookstore.

As a note, you get a higher e-book royalty rate if you go directly through B&N, and it's easy to format—changing the license notes to reflect a "Nook" version, and replacing all page breaks with section breaks (next page), tends to be all that's needed, really. There are more e-book vendors, too; I'm working on compiling a list. But congrats!

When I last checked a couple of months ago, you *had* to have a US bank account, otherwise you couldn't publish with them directly. There are more e-book vendors, too; I'm working on compiling a list. That's an excellent idea!

Well, at least you can publish with them INdirectly, with Smashwords. I'll have to bear that in mind when making my list. There are more e-book vendors, too; I'm working on compiling a list. That's an excellent idea! Thank you.
